Slavkov u Brno is a small town in Southern Moravia and is most famous as being formerly known as Austerlitz, one of the famous battle grounds in the Napoleonic wars.

Kamenice nad Lipou is a small town in the Vysocina Region of Czechia and translates as Kamenice, above a Linden Tree. The Linden tree, over 700 years old, is still situated beneath the castle walls.

The Kamenice Synagogue Association

The Torah Scrolls from Slavkov and Kamenice nad Lipou were sent to London shortly after World War 2 and then distributed to Jewish communities around the world.

A narrative poem in five parts.The poem tells the story of a Torah scroll rescued from the former Czechoslovakia after the war. This poem can be used to support creative teaching and learning about the Holocaust. This film was supported using public funding by Arts Council England.
